I love my new towel. I already bought multiple of them in the past, but the one I just ordered is even better. I love the cork carry bag they use now: it's really convenient. Plus I feel it's way softer than it was previously. Maybe it's just because it's newer, I can't really tell, but I strongly advise getting these towels: they absorb a great amount of sweat and dry so fast! can't live without them anymore ❤

Love that the towel is made out of bamboo, and that it is portable and in a little pouch with a Carabiner that I can attach to my backpack or belt loop. The towel is so soft and absorbent. Dries fast and easily goes back in the pouch for transport. Love how eco friendly the company is and what it stands for. Great idea and great company. Is the kind of company that I support. I brought my "face cloth" on my trip to Europe, I easily clipped it to my bag so it did not take up any extra space. It is soft, absorbent and dries quickly which is exactly what I needed to always have face cloth to freshen up or use when the hotel only provides hand towels. I will never travel again without it!

Works great until you wash it. I have both the old and new ones and after one wash they shrink and warp. Kind of ruins the use of a travel towel. Still works great after the wash, but it becomes just as bulky as any other towel.
I tested a few washing methods and it only doesn't shrink unless you hand wash it. It kind of defeats the purpose of having to hand wash a towel every time I. Mt opinion

I have the older and nerer versions of the eco towel (see photo). I like the improvements they have made. Mesh bag is bigger, with an improved zipper and it has a small pocket, seems like it will "breathe" easier while traveling, and the towel itself is a lot softer. Nice changes overall.

I bought the Super Set as I was worried the Pocket towel wouldn't be big enough after a full body wash in the shower. So thought about buying both Pocket and Standard, then decided the Super Set was better value for the extra XL.
If you are hiking and packing light, don't worry the Pocket will dry you properly before it gets too wet. The Standard is a nice size to use though, if you can spare the extra weight and space. The Bamboo material is so much nicer than microfibre! You can rub yourself dry if that is your method, whereas I found microfibre would cling to you and you just had to dab with it. And they do dry really quickly.
I will take both Pocket & Standard with me on my next camp, my old microfibre towel has been demoted to drying my pots now!

I just did a week long bicycle tour through Virginia and Tennessee. I purchased this bamboo towel before the trip because I wanted to save some space in packing. I had a standard towel to use while drying off after showering. I would drape the towel over a chair or my pack overnight and it was dry by the morning. I also appreciated the loop on the corner of the towel to hang it from the shower curtain rod when a shower facility did not have hooks. Kept my towel clean and dry while I showered.
Others packed bulky towels that took too long to dry. I was even able to dry myself, then rinse my bike shorts and wrap / squeeze them in the towel to dry them out, before hanging my towel up to dry. It was a great item and packs down very small for such a big towel. I had no problems getting myself dry with it either. As fluffy as a luxurious bath towel, but mostly, a true luxury on the road on a cycling trip when space is a factor and I get off the bike and need to get cleaned up.

I went camping for several weeks and thankfully had access to an outside shower. But that meant it got really cold, really fast being wet. This towel comes in clutch. Like seriously, the absorbency is great and it dries really fast. I use it at home now because why not, it's much more gentle on my skin than regular cotton towels, which being prone to eczema is something I appreciate. I also use it as a makeshift bonnet for my hair care routine. Like if you do the curly girl method and go camping or whatever, just plop this baby on your head and works really good for drying the hair without causing breakage. When you wash it, skip the dryer because it doesn't need it, but I have put it in the dryer and it holds good. I normally dry things on delicate so I'm not sure how it handles being dried at higher heats, but yea, it does good just being air dried so honestly you don't need to put it in there.

I like to dry my head and face when I get out of the water. A big, conventional towel always gets soaking wet before I use it the first time. It's bulky and heavy.
This one is small, absorbent and dries quickly. It washes easily back on shore and is dry the next day for another round.

This towel… this towel has changed my entire gym experience. I’ve always hated bringing bulky towels to the gym just to leave with it all heavy and wet. This towel is astonishing. I completely dried off in record time AND it took almost all the water out of my long thick curly hair better than a t shirt ever could… and the towel still felt mostly dry!! It takes up hardly any space in my gym bag and the little strap on the corner is convenient for hanging on the shower rod when there’s not any other hooks. I will buy another one for sure. Also, the XL is the size of a regular towel and that was perfect for my 5’ 5” self.

When I started working out again a couple of months ago, I went looking for a good towel that wouldn't take up too much space in my gym bag. And this one definitely fits the bill. When I got it, I was a bit dubious that bamboo could actually absorb any meaningful amount of water without becoming instantly soaked. Boy was I surprised the first time I used it! It worked GREAT! And once I'm done showering, it fits nicely into an outside pocket bag on my gym bag. If you pack EVERYTHING you need into your gym bag like I do, you'll definitely appreciate the compactness of this microfiber towel.

After three months earlier this year trekking around Southeast Asia, I got a decent amount of use out of this towel. It was a small pillow on bus rides throughout Malaysia, a blanket protecting me from mosquitoes when I had no accommodation and spent the night sleeping on the beach on an island off the coast of Cambodia, a shield against the brutal Thai sun, and, oh right, a towel.
First we'll hit the negatives. The pouch bag it comes in had zippers that wasn't the best quality, maybe after four or five times taking the towel out and putting it back in the bag, it got less stuck but in the start it was pretty stiff but not the end of the world.
Now for the really good points. The built-in loop with a snap for easily hanging the towel up in incredibly convenient. The world is your towel rack. Or, more likely, a strap on the top of your backpack is your towel rack, because you don't want it getting smelly in your bag and it's still damp from your morning shower but you've gotta hit the road. Drying time is pretty quick, though, especially with some breeze and sunlight - as quick as I think you could reasonably expect. And while it's not the most absorbent thing in the world, at least it's nice and soft on the skin and doesn't bother sensitive skin at all. That's nice.

This is actually my second bamboo towel from Pangea because I'm such a big fan! I've given up my traditional, microfiber towels in favor of these lightweight, super soft, and ultra absorbent alternatives. I can take a shower first thing in the morning, work out, and then take another shower right after and my towel is already dry! My Pangea towels are also the softest I've ever had and much less abrasive on my skin and hair follicles.
Excellent for everyday use, camping, and travel. I can even pack the XL-size towel in a compact carry-on suitcase without sacrificing too much space.

For my recent two week trip to Thailand, where it's seemingly always humid, I bought this quick dry towel because I wasn't sure how accommodating the hostels would be with towels and such.
I ended up using this more for the occasional drying my hair or even getting some of the moisure out of my clothes when I got rained on more than like a towel after a shower. Trust me, those down pours can come out of no where and you don't always have access to a dryer or even a good breezey window so it was a life saver.
It didn't get washed the whole two weeks and only has a slight "dirty" smell and every time I used it, it would be dry by the time I came back from the corner store or something!

I purchased 4 of the XL towels to keep in my camper and I couldn’t be happier. I like that they take up less room in my very small bathroom cabinet — easily less space than 1 regular bath towel. It also absorbs and dries very fast. The first time I used them was on a cold, rainy weekend and they managed to dry hanging up in my camper bathroom. Despite the cold and damp environment, the towels were dry within an hour! Typically a standard towel would still be somewhat damp by the next day when we go winter camping. The XL is comparable to a standard bath towel and I was able to wrap around my body.

I plan on using these as bathroom shower/beach/pool towels in our RV and for bathroom at home They are so compact and so much more absorbent than the standard towels. The loop works well to hold the towel on the lounge chair. These wash well. Even when wet they still feel dry. This product may be the best new product I’ve discovered this year.

I bought this for my boyfriend to use in Iceland when we rented a campervan. It was amazing! We bought the standard one which was the size of a normal towel, he was able to wrap it around his waist after the pool. It packed very small so it took up almost no space in the packed suitcase.
After swimming, we left it outside the van to dry and it rained overnight. That morning, we wrung it out like a Shamwow, and he used it to dry off after a shower. It was damp but dried him very well. Then we hung it up in the campervan to dry while we drove around and it was dry by that evening.
It was perfect for our trip!

I was skeptical when I purchased this towel. I bought both the XL towel size and the Pocket towel size. My plan was to put these in my car for when I went to friend's homes and swam in their pools.
I have never used a bamboo type towel to dry myself before. I was concerned about the stitching and material quality prior to my purchase.
This product has exceeded all my expectations. The waffle weave is very absorbant & extremely soft. The stitching is top-notch. I am now using this towel 3x a week for my swims at my gym. No fading, no loose stitching, no color fading. Lightweight and very small.
This is the best purchase I've made in a while. I'm seriously considering adding 4 of these to my bathroom to replace my terry towels.

ur child swims 4x week on a swim team and having a large but super packable towel is awesome, but it also dries very quicly so its dry every time she goes to pack it (minimal gross backpack projects). It is so helpful during swim meets as it dries fast. So fast its dry in between events in the summer and nearly dry in winter. We used to have to pack 3 or 4 reg towles so she didnt freeze with a wet towel after each event. Had it for over a year with no signs of wear. We bought a second for gym class aquatics for mom!!!

I had my doubts about how well this would work, but since I have begun trying to adopt a more minimalist approach to travel, I figured I'd give it a shot. After having used it for several months for both road travel and camping, I have to say that it kinda blows my mind. I am 5'11" and about 180, and this has more than enough fabric to dry me off--and the best part is that it's dry itself within an hour or so if hung up! Already recommended it to all my traveling friends. I've found the bag it comes in to be unnecessary--I suppose it would be useful if you wanted to transport it while it was still damp, but it has always dried out quickly enough for me that that was never necessary.

I bought the blue and green XL towels and they are huge. You know the dimensions but it's not until you open it that you realize quite how large it is. Unlike most beach towels, this is much wider and you can truly wrap it around yourself. When you wrap this towel around yourself it goes all the way to my knees. It's also softer than you would expect. I have dry skin and have issues with the feel of many microfibers, no problems with this beautiful bamboo towel whatsoever. My daughter is on swim team and bringing multiple towels is a must to stay dry throughout the day, especially during winter months.
People with tiny house, dorm rooms, camping, boating, all can use something so large that takes up such a small amount of space!

I had the first 1.0 towel for many years before I moved and it got lost in the chaos. So I got some new 2.0 towels! These are excellent towels and a must have for travelers, campers, soldiers overseas, and backpackers. Ultra absorbent and has a wide variety of uses not just a shower towel.
It will last a lifetime as long as you take care of it and wash it regularly.
I bring this towel anytime I travel for long periods of time.

The Pangea Eco Towel is by far the best towel I have ever used!! It is so absorbent and dries my body in less time than a traditional towel. The towel barely feels damp afterwards. I even use it to dry my hair as well, AFTER I dry my body, that's how absorbent it is. This towel dries my hair better and more efficiently than both of the hair towels I have purchased, (one of which is microfiber). Another great thing I've noticed it that I'm not cold after I dry off. I usually dread getting out of the shower because I get cold quickly while I'm towel drying. Since I have been using the Pangea Towel I have not once felt cold during or after drying off. I think this is because the fabric is so fluffy and it doesn't hold water against your skin the same way a cotton towel would. I purchased the XL, towel and it fits around my body. (5'1 and 120 lbs) It is able to dry my body, my medium/ long hair, and still could dry more if needed. I will definitely be purchasing more of these towels to have around as well as for gifts. I highly recommend this towel!

I use the pocket size for the gym, when I want to place it on a piece of equipment when my hands are sweaty or to towel off a bit of sweat. It works great in these situations. I appreciate that the material creates a bit of grip when it gets damp, which helps in holding on to a bike or weight. This is the second time I have purchased this towel, so I could have a backup. I have never used it in a situation where I was soaking wet, such as after swimming, so I can't speak to how well it would work for toweling off completely.

I bought one of these for my home towel...loved it! So I’ve bought a second one to rotate them. They dry quickly which is so important in humid weather so they can be used a couple of times before washing. The largest size takes up so little space in the washer and dryer compared to even a small ‘typical cotton towel’ means energy savings as well. I really like the way that water on the body is dried so effortlessly and efficiently. Takes up so little space in the linen closet. Now I have towels to happily donate to charity.....except a very few for guests, who will not get to use these towels. The problem is only that I don’t need to have many so "Pangea” won’t be selling many more to me. Wait! I guess I should now replace my old hand towels too! Great product! Oh, did I forget to mention the zippered pouch bag?....would work great for tucking the keys / ($) in if it’s used as a beach towel.

I originally got this towel for traveling knowing that it would pack smaller than a regular towel. But now I use it every day. It dries completely in just a few hours hanging over the shower curtain rod. It absorbs very well. It's as thick as a regular cotton towel! I got so tired of my regular towels never drying fully and starting to smell after just a couple of days. I don't have those problems with this towel. I do wish they had more neutral colors like white or shades of gray.

One of my absolute favorite possesions while traveling around Mexico for many months, both for showers and for the beach. Only caveat: if you want to use it for post-shower discretion or deck changes, you will probably need to use the XL size unless you are quite small – if I wrap the standard around my waist, it only barely covers my nethers and leaves a a large gap on the side.

We ordered 6 of these towels for a week of sailing, snorkeling, and beach (2 supersets): (2) Pocket size (intended for small clean-ups); (2) Standard size (intended for kid beach/bath towels); and (2) XL size (intended for adult beach/bath towels). I like this towel a lot. I bought a slightly cheaper microfiber towel 6 months ago for a trip I was taking, and after the first day that towel began to smell awful. For some reason it was just a breeding ground for stinky microbes.
This towel in the other hand has not had that problem. I've used it on a couple of trips now, and it still smells just fine. It does take some getting used to. It gives you that same warm and fuzzy feeling as using a big, warm, fluffy bath towel, and it works well at drying skin.
It dries out pretty quickly after use, but as with anything that depends on things like humidity and temperature. The size and weight are perfect for a backpack and long term travel. If you need to travel light, this towel is great.

My husband and I have these in sizes Standard and XL. We brought the XL sizes with us to Hawaii to use as beach towels and they were perfect! Very absorbent and we didn't feel like we were laying on wet towels, dried quicker than regular towels and sand just fell off with a shake. The towels are light-weight even when wet and are still easily foldable to put back in their storage bags. They fold down nice and thin for easy packing and don't take up much space. The fabric is soft and smooth, not like typical microfiber that can kind of have an awkward feel for some people.
The standard size is too small for a beach/pool towel and even for a bath towel. It's a good size to just dry off after a swim but not enough to lay. If you're a woman who likes to wrap towels around your torso, the XL size would be better.

Since most of the reviews were positive, and I felt the price was right for what it claimed to be able to do, I purchased two of these for a weekend kayaking trip where I'd be needing to dry off as soon as I got out of the river and when I'd shower every night. I like how compact they are, and the two I bought (a green and gray one) fit easily into my luggage without taking up too much space.
I'm glad I went with the X-Large size because it was big enough to wrap around me, and plenty of surface area to dry with. Even after drying off I liked that the towel didn't feel wet like a normal towel would, and in the time it took to put a change of clothes on I could feel that the microfiber was already drying. I hung it over a tree branch that evening and it was dry to pack back away that night. Highly recommend these to anyone who camps and needs to save a bit on space, or just needs a quick drying towel.

I bought 2 of these towels for traveling with my husband to Dubai - to use at the beach at also to dry off after showering if we ended up staying with someone for a night or two (When staying with colleagues instead of a hotel, I prefer to pack my own rather than creating laundry for them). These fit in our carry-on luggage nicely, are extremely light weight, highly absorbant, and actually HUGE! Even when staying in 5 star hotels, I ended up using one on my head to dry my hair quickly. My hair is over 40 inches long and none of the largest hair towels ever work for me; this fit the bill. Overall, these are nothing short of amazing!!! I may buy some as gifts in the future because I'm sure other travelers would love them too! Might even buy a second set for ourselves so I can store them with our camping gear so we never forget a towel again, and can experience luxury in the campground shower stalls. Lol.

Lightweight and absorbent
I bought a couple of these travel towels as presents, then a regular-sized one for myself. I wanted to see how effective it was, so used it for a week after my shower. Even though it feels thin, it is deceptively good at absorbing water. And its lightweight nature meant my towel also dried quickly, which is great in humid weather. It's not as "comforting" as a fluffy towel but it does everything is meant to do.

Outstanding towel, love it to bits, and it dries me (which is what towels are meant to do yes, but not something to take for granted especially in the compact towel section haha)! Plus it works well as a sarong too, and it is healing the environment, so winning all round! The only thing that could be improved is the strength of the "hanger" part (to hang the towel on a hook), but that is a negligible detail as its benefits definitely outweigh this! Will definitely be "converting" my friends and family ;) Thanks for doing the work that you do, so excited for the jacket!

If your an avid swimmer you NEED this towel! If your not a swimmer you still NEED this towel! The Pangea Eco towel is by far the best towel I have ever purchased. The XL size is ideal.I chose blue but there are many colors to choose from. This towel comes with a small easy to carry pouch bag with holes built in so your towel doesn’t end up smelling. This towel is very easy to fold. Very convenient! You can bring this towel anywhere with you. The towel is extremely lightweight and dries FAST! I’ve never experienced any odor from the towel as well. This towel does not smell! It absorbs water very well and dries off the body very quickly. The fabric is a different feeling from your average towel. I highly recommend this towel.

Understand that I don't use fabric softener, I have scented dryer balls. When these came out of the dryer they were absolutely, amazingly soft. So very soft!!!!! I am so pleased with this purchase. These are by far the best towels I've ever had, and they're so affordable!! I don't understand how bamboo makes such a big difference, but these are the softest and most absorbent towels I've ever used.
They are also light so it's super easy to wrap them around your body and have them stay and they are also perfect for wrapping up my hair!
But by far the best and most incredible feature of these towels is how they seem to be incapable of becoming stinky!
With most of my towels, I can only use them for about 2 showers. By the third shower they either smell musty or have absorbed too many odors from cooking or what not, and I need to get out a new towel.
I've just realized today that I literally do not know how many showers I've used this first towel for (which is what prompted me to write this review). It just still doesn't smell like... anything! I guess I'm going to have to start washing these on a schedule instead of relying on the ol' sniff test..

Very plushy set of towels. This set is soft and absorbs really well I'm new to this bamboo towel thing and love them. These absorb much better than microfiber towels and are much softer. The towel is nice and big and so is the hand towel and face cloth. I just love using the face cloth so soft and I find I don't need as much soap with this. I would like to add that it dried very fast too.

As a minimalist….
Buying a new anything comes with lots of research and thought for me these days. When I found this towel as a traveller, a vegan and an outdoorsman. It seemed to check all the boxes I was looking for. I’m happy to say I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality and size of this towel (I ordered the xl in black). I got my first set through the Kickstarter campaign and was not disappointed. I really only use the standard size towel on a regular basis, but I carry the pocket size in my backpack that goes with me everywhere. I like the feel, the absorption and the carry bags! Also the small loop to hang them is extremely useful. I can support all the claims made except the antibacterial one, but only because I don't really have a way to test for that. I just purchased 3 more sets as gifts and love that large percentages of profits go to help clean up the world. You all do great work!

These arrived the day we set off on our camping trip and the towels were ideal - absolutely perfect for our needs. We mainly used the XL towels, which were generously sized, dried us (and themselves) quickly and all the towels were light to carry. Thank you Pangea - I have just ordered some more eco towels for our adventurous, mountain-climbing friends!

This is the perfect travel towel. I got the pocket towel and it's super lightweight and compact. It comes in the cutest little pouchbag that fits in the palm of your hand. The towel is really soft and almost velvet like and, although it feels like it wouldn't wipe up a single drop, it's incredibly absorbent! I was shocked at how dry this towel left parts of me...
unfortunately, I'm currently in the "big girl" club and this tiny towel was no match for my robust figure! You won't be wrapping yourself or your hair in this towel. Not at all. I found myself just really wanting MORE TOWEL! Ironically, I purchased this to have a lightweight space saving towel for travel and that is EXACTLY what this product is... I just wish they had given me about twice as much towel. This felt more like a washcloth, if you want a bigger one, I would say get the XL one.
4 stars, but if you're a traveler looking for a towel that won't weigh you down, this is it!

Had been shopping for towels for a long time. Researched different brands, cost, etc. Settled on Pangea's towel due to cost and reviews. We travel extensively and thought this was a necessity. It is! They are compact and take up no space. We tried them before hand and they absorb a lot of water and dry pretty quick. I would definitely recommend these towels.

Love these. I travel a lot. One thing you never carry is a towel because of bulk. I bought one of these for a trip we were going on and would have to walk a ton. The day this came in my wife had me order one for her as she was on the fence about if they worked or not once she messed with mine she needed one. It arrived the day before our trip. I put this in my bag I carry when I travel and we walked 10 - 15 miles a day and went to the beach while we were at this location. It was light and easy to carry and I was very happy to have it. When we went to the beach having two full size towels left room in the bag for additional beverages. A towel that’s life changing seems silly but it’s true. We will be buying a few more and have already told several people about them we travel with. On the plane home my wife got cold and I pulled it out and she used it as a blanket.

I had a minor problem with one of the towels after washing it for the first time. When I was putting them up to hang dry in the sun, I noticed the stitching was starting to unravel. I contacted support and got a fast reply from Mel, who was very responsive and helpful in getting a replacement sent. I’m happy to say that there were no issues with the replacement.

The XL towels are pretty big and do dry relatively quickly. They are great to take along for beach or shower because they are so compact. I wish there were other colors available, but only blue was available when I bought them. They are very soft! You could use them to dry off or as a beach blanket.

I bought four last year and my kids have been using them at the pool. Instead of hauling around 4 beach towels that become water logged, heavy and never dry out, these towels have been a game changer for us. While the kids swim for 45 minutes the towels dry out and when it is adult swim, the towels are dry and ready to be used when the kids get out of the pool. Rinse and repeat all day. The only con I have is that the stitching is unraveling on the corners of the towels. It doesn't affect the performance of the towels just the appearance. We are stopped nearly every day by friends and strangers asking about our towels :)

Took these towels on a recent Cruise. Very handy for the beach. I wish had ordered the XL towel rather than the standard however I’m finding the pocket one handy to keep in my Gym bag.

Worked great for camping. Nice size towel. Dried quickly. Was able to wash and dry towels after use while camping so we had clean towels the entire trip.

The towels do exactly what the they claim. Packs up compact taking up minimum space. Comparable to the size of a paperback book. But don"t let the size fool you. Super aborbant. Took the towels to the beach and they worked like a charm. They dried me off quickly and was dry themselves in about 15 -20 minutes, ready for the next use. Highly reccommend them.

Total must have for gym, yoga, beach, pool, etc. The pocket towel comes in super handy. The carabiners are really great for hanging or attaching onto a backpack.
The pink towel is a much, much lighter color than I anticipated. I definitely would have chosen differently had I realized this.
So choose your color carefully! But definitely buy one of these Pangea towels.

This is a great towel for traveling. It squeezes so much water out of hair, clothes, etc.! Once I got used to the texture, it's not bad as a bath towel as well. Washes really well and it dries my hair so much faster than terry cloth.

This pocket towel is perfect for my bicycle commutes to the local pool for swimming. It packs small enough to fit into its zippered pouch which easily fits into my cycling backpack. It's very absorbent.

Received mine a few days ago. very beautiful, very fine and wipe very well. I have already washed it twice. Be careful they rub off in the first wash, do not deform in the dryer and to give them their appearance, I iron them (even if this is not recommended). I will buy some for my family again. Thanks a lot for this product ☺️
